In an attempt to mimic the immersion learning technique, I've joined the renshuu Discord. Obviously, I still have to finish the alphabet and start off with some JLPT N5 kanji.
I can form sentences now. Nothing too crazy.
- わたしのなまえダビド。/watshinoname dabido/ - My name is David.
- かれのめがねはかわいいです。/karenomeganehakawaiidesu/ - His glasses are cute.
The avid Japanese readers of this blog might've noticed I wrote "ha" instead of "wa". When using です to add an adjective, the は /ha/ used to separate the object from the adjective can be pronounced "wa". Mind you, it should still be written as は, not わ.
I started learning entire words. Here's a few I still remember of the top of my dome without any practice:
- がくせい /gakusei/ [学生] - Student (especially a university one)
- きょう /kyou/ [今日] - Today
- あした /ashita/ [明日] - Tomorrow
- あなた /anata/ [貴方] - Hot
