Learning Japanese - The end?

A few days late, I'm fully aware. As school has started, I've not been able to focus on studying from one lesson to another, leaving me to either work on my Japanese and revise in school or revise when I have free time and drop Japanese entirely.

This entire "challenge" came from the creative part of my mind which strongly believes everything that I do should be fun, at least for the most part. If I'd have to force myself to study Japanese alongside my regular school studies, it simply wouldn't be fun anymore.

I'm putting "Learning Japanese" to rest for the foreseeable future. Who knows? Maybe next summer break, I might just come back to it. At least for that time.

To not leave this post all negative, I'd like to sum up what I learned in the past few months, even if it isn't much:

  • Faster, snappier and less stutter-y pronunciation of continuous text. (Though, only in hiragana or katakana, even with furigana)
  • About 40 words, none of which I can name off the top of my head, but if I were to see them somewhere, I'd 100% know the meaning and pronunciation.
  • Several (vocaloid) songs - even though they don't help me understand Japanese, I can sing much more confidently and without giving up midway.

That might just be about it. Until next time, bye!
